MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus
for CS MAILsweeper for SMTP 4.3 Service Pack 2
You can integrate third-party antivirus tools with CS MAILsweeperTM for SMTP. This document provides information on the MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus, which integrates CS MAILsweeper for SMTP with F-Secure Anti-VirusTM for MIMEsweeper.
To integrate CS MAILsweeper for SMTP 4.3 with this antivirus tool, you require:

The MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus, supplied by Clearswift Limited, integrates CS MAILsweeper for SMTP 4.3 with the F-Secure Anti-Virus for MIMEsweeper antivirus software, supplied by F-Secure Corporation.
To use the MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus, you must:
You can uninstall a MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus if required.
You must install the F-Secure Anti-Virus for MIMEsweeper third-party antivirus software on your PC, configure it to work with CS MAILsweeper for SMTP, and modify your Windows 2000 system path.
To install F-Secure Anti Virus for MIMEsweeper:
You can install the MIMEsweeper scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus either during or after installing CS MAILsweeper for SMTP. For more information about installing the scenario during CS MAILsweeper for SMTP installation, see the CS MAILsweeper for SMTP Reference Revision 2.2a.
To install the MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus after CS MAILsweeper for SMTP has been installed:
A red cross on the icon for an Anti-Virus scenario indicates that the scenario is not currently installed on the local hard drive.
If you select one of the options to install this feature, the MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus will be installed on the local hard drive.
If you select This feature will not be available, a red cross is displayed on the icon for F-Secure Anti-Virus, and the scenario will not be installed.
When you next restart the MAILsweeper for SMTP Console, F-Secure Anti-Virus is displayed in the list of available scenarios.
To create a new MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus in CS MAILsweeper for SMTP:
As with all CS MAILsweeper for SMTP scenarios, you can position it anywhere in the scenario folder hierarchy. If you want to scan both incoming and outgoing messages for potential threats, create the scenario in the root Scenarios folder.
Each wizard page describes the information it requires. If you need more information on any configuration options in a wizard page, click the Help button.
You can remove any instances of the MIMEsweeper Scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus in CS MAILsweeper for SMTP. You can save any existing instances before removing them if required.
To remove a MIMEsweeper scenario for F-Secure Anti-Virus in CS MAILsweeper for SMTP:
A red cross is displayed on the icon for F-Secure Anti-Virus.
